DYNAMAT XTREME TRUNK KIT SOUND DEADENING (457MM X 812MM X 1.72MM) - 5 SHEET PACK
Description
Dynamat Xtreme Trunk Kit:
A good bass system in a vehicle can make your ride rattle and your bass sound distorted and of bad quality. For clear, crisp bass without the rattle, use the Dynamat Xtreme Trunk Kit. Adding Dynamat to the vehicle - especially the trunk -results in higher Sound Pressure Level (SPL), clearer bass and better all-around sound. Dynamat is the easiest-to-apply, thinnest and lightest material for adding sound pressure reinforcement to your car's body. When the panels do not rattle and balloon, you get higher SPL and tighter, louder bass! Road noise can also enter your vehicle through the trunk, making your ride noisy and uncomfortable. The Dynamat Xtreme Trunk Kit stops your trunk from vibrating and letting in the road noise, giving you a quiet car that feels solid.
Total Coverage: 20 ft. sq. (1.85 m sq.)
Thickness: 1.72mm
Kit contains 5 18" x 32" sheets of Dynamat Xtreme for the trunk floor, side panels, and trunk lid for the ultimate bass and reduction road noise. Self-adhesive.

Apply the Dynamat panel surface with a Dynamat roller tool. Take the roller tool and work the Dynamat into all the contours of the metal panel. Using a razor knife, poke holes in any air pockets that may have formed between the panel and the Dynamat. Work the air out with the roller tool. Eliminating air pockets will ensure lasting adhesion of the Dynamat to the panel, giving you maximum damping efficiency.
Dynamat Xtreme: Dynamat Xtreme is a black butyl-based core with 4 mil aluminium constrain layer, and craft paper release liner.
Description: Dynamat is a patented, lightweight elastomeric butyl and aluminium constrained-layer vibration damper. Dynamat conforms and fuses easily to sheet metal and other hard substrates. Material performance is optimized for temperature ranges between 14°F and 140°F (- 10°C to +60°C). Material can withstand temperature extremes between -65°F and +300°F (-54°C to +149°C) and is highly resistant to aging.
Applications: Dynamat can be die cut to shape and placed onto the body surface directly on painted panels or after the sheet metal is cleaned before painting (typically at the sealer application operation). Dynamat is used to treat metal panels, partitions, duct doors, bins, panels and so forth in automobiles, railroad cars, buses and ships. It is also used for ventilation ducts, relay cabinets, steel furniture, home appliances, sink units, computer equipment, machine tools and many other objects that suffer from vibration-production noise.
Installation: Use scissors, knife or die to cut Dynamat to the desired size and shape before removing the release liner. Next, remove dust, grease, moisture, and other foreign matter from the application surface. Peel off the release liner. The simplest application technique is to bend the mat slightly and attach it along its shortest edge. Press the mat firmly into place, using a Dynamat roller for larger pieces. The roller reduces the risk of leaving air pockets, which reduce Dynamat’s sound damping capacity. Finish by covering all seams and wiring with DynaTape to ensure a professional look and finish. The temperature of the mat and application surface should not be below room temperature during fitting. Heating the material is not necessary.
